I made a banner that we slowly unrolled word for word so he could read it himself! He did read each word, but he forgot to put the words altogether to see what it said. So, I didn't get the reaction I was hoping for, but later it sunk in and he was excited.

ha! that happens to me all the time. i plan something for mckinlay (or ty, for that matter) and it doesn't get the desired reaction...bummer. but hey, i got really excited when i say the pictures of the surprise being rolled out! :)
