No blogging

I know that it has been weeks since the last pictures were posted. My computer monitor died and I can't upload photos. I have taken pictures and will update as soon as possible. Everything is good here. Josh lost his first tooth Saturday and Evie is growing like a chubb-a-tubb. Soccer is half over and Halloween parties have begun. There will be lots to show once I can. Jordan has promised this week I will be able to use my computer again. Here's hoping.

Catholics Appalled at Anti-Mormon Slur

This video was put up on youtube last night. As of 10pm, the video has over 13,000 hits and has received a number of honors. In its category, Nonprofit and Activism, it is the #1 Most viewed video and the #1 Rated video. It also tops categories for other countries: e.g., #2 Most viewed in Mexico, Japan and South Korea, #3 Most viewed in Israel!
Special credit must go to Matt Connors, a very talented JP Catholic sophmore, who filmed the intro, recorded the audio and edited it all together in less than a day. Please help us spread it around. For more on this issue see this important article.(www.ncregister.com/site/article/15099/)

THAT'S RIGHT....

IN THE POURING RAIN FOLKS!

The three things I learned while sign waving in torrential down pour:

1) At 30mph it is hard to tell the difference from a thumbs up and "the finger".

2) You are not really cold and wet until you can ring out your snow jacket like a bath tub wash-rag.

3) It never felt better to stand up for what I know is right.

Way to go Lincoln 2nd ward!

So You Think You Can Dance 2008

The first of October I went to the SYTYCD show in Sacramento. I had to get these pictures from a friend because I forgot my camera! It was tons of fun, except I thought Rachel was going to be carried out on a stretcher because she was so sick. Sorry Rach :( Here are a few shots of my favorite routines.

Twitch and Caty with the "Door" routine. Twitch and Comfort with (my favorite) "Forever" routine.
Joshua and Caty with the "NO AIR" routine.

Tags and chain letters

I've seen these "tag" things and thought this is like cyber chain letters. First, you might feel like you'll have bad-blog mojo if you don't do it. Then, it's like some pyramid scheme because you have to call on your friends to do it too. So, I thought if I make a packed never to do one then I won't feel the guilty if I do some and not others ect.. Well, I have nothing to post and my child is home sick and I guess I'm just so bored.
(this is Sydney's)

Profile: I've been married for 7.5 years and have two children-- Joshua (5.5 years) and Weston (3 years).

My greatest strength as a mom: I am extremely consistent. If I promise that something will happen (good or bad) I follow through. I want my children to believe/trust me and be able to predict the consequence of their actions.

My greatest weakness as a mom: I use sarcasm.

My Children:

Joshua Jordan Beck

His greatest strength: He is very laid-back and fun loving like his dad. It easy for him to make friends. He is incredibly social and can get along with all kinds of people.

His greatest weakness: He is obsessed with his dad. He wants to be with him and doing the things his dad does all the time. He gets frustrated when he is not included in the grown-up guys stuff. He gets very "excited" when his dad gets home from work that he can't control his emotions and he acts out negatively.

Weston Miles Beck

His greatest strength: His ability to read the emotions of a situation. He can tell when a situation is getting tense and knows it would be in his best interests to be cute and loving, then he does it. Even when it doesn't have to do with him he knows when people are sad or mad and he will say "sorry" or "love you mom".

His greatest weakness: He cries when people are not able to read his mind and anticipate his needs and wants. And then he pouts if the first offerings/suggestions aren't correct.

I TAG: Heather, Kirsten, Meghan and April S.
