Goodbye Nursery

Weston has completed his two years in nursery and now he will be in primary with me and his brother. It is very emotional for me to see my "little baby" (who's 3 1/2 yrs.) walk into the primary room with his arms folded and sit in the front row like a big boy.

Here is the picture he recieved his last day.

My Wreath

I had an old mini-me wreath that I had made from our "apartment/condo days". This year I thought I would up-grade my wreath. So, I took a few hours and put together this. My theme was trying to use non-traditional colors. I like it.

In its category, Nonprofit and Activism, it is the #1 Most viewed video and the #1 Rated video. It also tops categories for other countries: e.g., #2 Most viewed in Mexico, Japan and South Korea, #3 Most viewed in Israel!

IN THE POURING RAIN FOLKS!

The three things I learned while sign waving in torrential down pour:

1) At 30mph it is hard to tell the difference from a thumbs up and "the finger".

2) You are not really cold and wet until you can ring out your snow jacket like a bath tub wash-rag.

3) It never felt better to stand up for what I know is right.

Way to go Lincoln 2nd ward!

Super Hero Party

Our friend, Landon, had a SUper HEro birthday last week. Most of the kids dressed up like Spider Man. Grandma Judy had to take-in the arms and legs of Weston and Joshua spider costumes (thanks mom). Now the costumes can "grow-with-them" for the new couple years. Leave it to "THE WAL-MART", for $10 dollars you can make little boy's dreams come true! The party was SUPER fun, they made their own capes and hit the pinata.

Heather and Jason came with us to our ward Trunk 0' Treat party. Joshua was a Police officer, Weston a Cowboy, Wyatt was a Vampire, Jason was a Cowboy, Heather a Pirate, Jordan was Neo and I went as a 50's inspired "Pink Lady". It was fun to pass out candy to the young kids and tell the older kids to dress up next year, if they want candy :0)

So You Think You Can Dance 2008

The first of October I went to the SYTYCD show in Sacramento. I had to get these pictures from a friend because I forgot my camera! It was tons of fun, except I thought Rachel was going to be carried out on a stretcher because she was so sick. Sorry Rach :( Here are a few shots of my favorite routines.

Halloween PARTY 08'

We went to a costume Halloween party at the Clark's home. It was fun to see everyone go all out with their costumes. I went as Amy Whinehouse and Jordan was Neo from the Matrix. There was a limbo contest and costume contest. I won for best costume, yeah me!!

bOy, oH bOy

Tonight I had the boys playing in the backyard, and I hear Joshua yell from the slider, "Mom, something is wrong with the hose!" My first thought is that they know they can't play with the hose and second I'm sure this will involve a load of laundry. I go outside to find Weston with the hose pouring full strength in to a muddy mess and Josh can't figure out how to turn the faucet off. So, they decided to dig a hole and fill it with water. NO big deal, except then they submerged there electric remote control cars into the pit. There was soaked shoes, socks, and muddy pants, so PJs were put on at about 6:00pm. Plus, my poor patio (that my dad just pressure-washed) has an inch of mud sprayed over it. I guess I need to teach them the fun new game "lets sweep and hose off the patio".

Pumpkin Patch 2008

After school on friday, Heather and I took the kid to the pumpkin patch. We were hoping if we went earlier this year there would be better weather and more pumpkins to choose from. Joshua, Kami and Weston has a blast. It was a quick two hour outting, but baby Wyatt was already on his second outfit for the trip and Kami needed to get to her dad's house.

Weston wouldn't give his train ticket to the operator, he wanted to save it to show his dad.

After the train ride the kids played at the play grounds and then it was off to the hayride to pick a pumpkin.

Weston is still in his "anti- photo" stage. No smiles and no looking at the camera.

Weston picked a pumpkin he could carry himself. You can tell it has some "imperfections" on one side, but he doesn't care.
